About Me

Hi. Welcome to viewing Montana, people, and a few other places, through my art.

I have been drawing since I was a child, but moving to Lakeside MT on Flathead Lake at age 11 greatly fired up my creative compulsion. I was blessed with a mother who thought I was outstanding (of course), and very fortunate to have Hugh Hockaday take interest in me at age 13. Hugh, an accomlished professional artist, began teaching me to use my artist eye and develop artistic skills in pen and watercolor. He was a godly man who also taught me about life. Art is, afterall, an expression of our life.

I continued to study art and acting at Flathead High School, Norton Gallery (West Palm FLA), Rocky Mountain College under Robert Morrison, and EMC (now MSU Billings.) I have since taken workshops with Lance Johnson, Joy Osterfel and Loren Entz. Although I sold work out of my Joint Heirs Studio Gallery in Billings MT in the 70's, my artistic expression turned to the more pragmatic employment of carpentry and woodwork. Now, after years of dormancy, I have picked up my pencil and brush to enjoy the gift of visual artistc expression. I hope you enjoy it too!

I currently reside in Billings Mt
